NEW Plug Wires going faulty? spark “escaping”? Lack of power of about 45%?
Hi, a couple months ago I bought this 45 dollars set of spark plug wires (V6 engine, 1993 Nissan Quest). The brand is "Seiwa" and they are new. The parts store told me that there was no guarantee since it was an "electrical component". I bought the set of wires beacause one of the old ones (the car had never been replaced with new ones since 1994!!) got loose, the carbon part got loose from the metal end tip of the wire.
So the car started to loose power! After I bought and replaced the old ones with the Seiwa new ones, the power DIDN’t came back! The car was still lacking engine power. I replaced the spark plugs..air filer, engine oil. Someone here in yahoo answers told me that maybe the cause might be "jumped timing" since the timing belt has never been replaced and the car has 83K on it.
But, I checked a few days ago for "escaping spark" from each plug wires at NIGHT, since someone told me that if I see some jumping sparks coming from the plug wires, then the plug wires are BAD! This is frustrating since the wires are NEW. The spark that comes from one wire is intermitent (spark timing) but its not that HUGE of a spark either. The spark its like the spark coming from a lighter, but a little bit smaller. There are other "spark-like flashes" coming from another wire too! This one is not an intermitent spark, it goes visual every 7seconds maybe, sometimes every 4 seconds. This one looks like it travels along the outside of the wire insulator,but not the whole way, just a few 3 inches maybe.
Ive come with some analysis myself in order to repair the lack of power:
1. One spark plug maybe fauty (BUT I checked the spark by removing a plug wire one at a time while the engine is idling, and cheking or hearing for engine "stumbling" or by checking the revolutions going down…and the results were that all the plugs were "O.K."..). The spark plugs are BOSCH, NEW spark plugs.
2. The plug wires are faulty…SEIWA NEW PLUG WIRES.
3. The timing belt jumped timing…hopefully not..82K and never replaced belt.
4. Maybe there is a faulty fuel injector. Never replaced fuel injectors.
5. Damaged O2 sensor. There is about 3 inches of peeled wire (3 wires in this O2 sensor). The insulation has peeled off maybe due to dust, mud or even night roedents!
PLEASE HELP!!! This has given me a headache!!! The problem began 3 months ago, and the car is wasting more fuel than ever besides the lack of power!!!

hi everyone i have a 1990 300zx 2+2 non turbo and i need to buy a new clutch with one should i buy ?

Guppies dieing and acting weird?
I made the mistake of buying 9 guppies without cycling my tank. I had the tank set up for 3 days, adding a little fish food in each day and I also added the most expensive cycling product because i figured it would speed up the cycling process. I notice one of my fish had a couple of ick spots, which was the guppy that had a slight case of fin rot on its tail, I didn’t actually pick that guppy because I didn’t want to risk any chance of disease, but the store worker put him in bag and then i felt to bad to put him back. Anyways i noticed the rest of the guppies quickly started to act a lot different then they had been. They seemed to be very happy for the first 3 days, swimming all around the tank and playing in the current and such. I bought an airstone to put extra oxygen in the water also. I wanted to get ahold of the ick before it got bad so I added 3/4 of a cap of methylene blue and kept the lights off. (for a 10g tank)The next day I did about a 50 % water change, and also added aquarium salt to the water ( which I normally do) I then changed to a ick treatment called Nox-Ich which is malachite green, i added 7 drops, today i did a 25% water change and added 6 drops. I have been keeping the lights off and took out the carbon filter to not mess with the medication. 5 of the guppies have already died, and the 4 that are living don’t seem like their going to live for much longer. They have all been sitting cuddled all together beside one another on the side of the tank that I have the lightbulb in(the other ones burnt out). They seem to sit right where the light is the brightest and when I turn the light off they start acting all weird, almost panicked. I didnt want to keep the light on because of the medication but then i thought maybe their possibly cold? (i dont have a heater but my light keeps the water to a suitable temp) Is it possible they are cold? Should I keep the light on? I also put the filter back in because I thought maybe the medication was to strong for them and was causing an overdose? I don’t know what to do, I feel so bad for them but I’m trying everything I feel i can do. Sorry this is really long but I would really appreciate it anyone could help explain what is causing this behaviour. Do guppies usually do this when there sick and/or cold? Thanks!
thanks for your help, i will definitly follow what you said. My four guppies that are left are still alive today, which shocked me. I can’t see anymore ick spots on them, but because there are more eggs that can hatch should I do my partial water change tonight and give them a break off of the ick treatment and maybe add a bit in a few days from now if they happen to live? Also one thing I noticed today is one of the guppies have a little bit of redness on the end of his tail, which was not there before, could the red tail and the strange behaviour be caused from all the chemical treatments i have been using?
