Flying on January 1st to celebrate the New Year and start off our flying on the right track. AMF-S14 Maranda is a plans built wood & fabric airplane, this one was completed in 1978. It has been our toy sine 2000. It has a Lycoming O-290D2B with a 72″ Warp Drive (carbon fiber) propeller. It has a basic day/night VFR pannel. Cruise is about 100 MPH economy setting. The wing has no flaps but it has full-span ailerons, which helps out with cross-wind landings. We can carry 140 liters of fuel in the two wing tanks. Fuel burn is about 22L/h economy power setting. The airplane is a charm to fly, very responsive on all controls. The two main tires are 8.00-6 and a Scott fully-steerable tail wheel. One draw back is it has only one door on the passenger side. This makes it little cumbersome to get in or out, but once you get use to it, no problems. For more info visit: www.falconaravia.com groups.yahoo.com

Watch as the CA-420 Carbon Dark Silver, after simulated damage and abuse, is removed rather easily on this guitar. It is then replaced with LE-517 Leather. Transcript: Sometimes things happen, and theres a chance your DI-NOC might become damaged, or worse, torn. You may even just wear it thin from wear and tear. The good news is that, with most previously finished substrates, including this guitar, DI-NOC comes off rather easily! To do so, you must be quick and nimble. Simply take a heat gun, and at a low to medium setting, heat the edges where the install was initially sealed. Depending on the age of the install, you should be able to simply peel back, and pull the DI-NOC off in large pieces. For older installs, or for installs where the substrate will be refinished, you may choose to use a scraper. Once removed, clean the substrate again, making sure it is clear of any knicks or dings. As long as its smooth, feel free to reapply DI-NOC for a totally brand new look. In this case were going to switch from Carbon Silver to Leather, which is a more suitable appearance and feel to this particular acoustic guitar. Once completed, re-string and play enjoying the new refinished look of your guitar!
